THEY TRIED TO CHANGE ME BUT THEY REALIZED THEY CAN'T
surprisingly the bar scene was not the place to find the drug dealing male, it was not shady enough. the area was not dark enough, the people were too friendly but this was where the deal was happening. it was easy for the male to blend into the crowd that was around him but his aggression stood out as he pushed his way through the sea of people, tossing his elbow into a few faces just so that he could smoothly make his way to the back room where he would exchange the money for the goods. phone buzzing in his pocket, darien was unsure if it was the person that he was meant to be meeting or the concerned fiancé who was worried about his whereabouts as dinner was due on the table soon even for the late hour. shrugging it off, he finally reached the backroom with a weapon poised in his hand as the door shut behind him and he saw a young boy, the appearance making his age range in the early twenties and his brows furrowed in thought, ”they sent a kid?” [/i] he asked with a distaste in his mouth before raising the gun, threatening him for the money before the pills would be handed over. the young male looked a little frightened when the gun appeared in his face and darien made his point known as he fired a shot at the wall past his head and the male cowered, tossing the wad of cash to the dealer’s feet and caused the gun to be lowered but the grip was still there. ”good.”[/i] he said before tossing the bag of white pills and another bag of white powder at the apprentices feet and lowered himself to the ground to pick up the wad of cash, which was stuffed into his pocket before he turned around and exited without a word—a drink was needed. approaching the bar, the male decided to use the money that he had gathered only moments later, pulling the band off and slipping a twenty onto the bartop which was taken by a female bartender whose cleavage was showing and caught his eye. after a moment of staring, he turned his eyes up to the girl and winked at her, ”scotch on the rocks.”[/i] he spoke smoothly before looking to the left of him and spotted a familiar figure with blonde hair and piercing green eyes. chuckling he slid into the spot beside her and did not hesitate in his actions as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, brushing the hair off her shoulder so that he could whisper into his past’s ear, ”well hello there…”[/i]. there was no denying that the two of them ended on rocky terms as darien had gotten her into the drugs and alcohol in the first place and when she wished to stop cold turkey, the male did not take too lightly to the cut off of business from her end. things were flying in the end but she had successfully broken away from his hold, but not tonight as they were reunited in a classy bar as his hand went to rest on her thigh, gripping the skin tightly to make a point for her not to make too much of a scene. his nails dug into the skin before his eyes rolled over to look at the scotch that was placed infront of him, followed by the change, ”add her tab to mine.”[/i] he spoke casually before releasing the hold on her all together in order to take a sip from his glass with no obstacles.[/div] (LAUREN//KAYLEE, 605 , GREY T-SHIRT&SPORTS JACKET&PANTS ,OH HE'S A PRICK.)

TAG; DARIEN. WEARING; CLICK. WORDS; FIVE SEVEN SIX.
wiping the tears from the cheek of her four year old daughter, kaylee hamilton knelt down on her knees and smiled at the small blonde girl. "sweetie, mommy is going out tonight, she promises to be back super early so when you wake up we can snuggle and watch cartoons ok?" the little girl blinked at her mother before letting out a wail. scooping up the toddler kaylee began to rock her, soothing the child and soon she was in a trance and her eyes were slipping shut. looking at the clock she realized that it was getting towards the girls bedtime anyway. kissing her forehead she placed her in her small toddler bed, pulling the pink laced sheets up to her chin. heading out into the hallway she walked down it into the small living room of her two bedroom rancher. wiping sweat from her brow she looked at her phone, no texts or calls. the sitter was late, and she was now late for her date.
she hadnt dated since before rehab, so this was new to her. she was supposed to meat someone from another local mechanic shop at the bar. finally hearing a small knock she let in the sitter, a small girl about sixteen or so. explaining where the emergecny contacts were, that the child was asleep and she'd be home soon she handed the girl forty dollars and left. it wasnt her decision to be driving a large, soccer mom suv but, her daughter was like three little children in one. cleaning up the mess in the backseat of her truck she started it and changed the station from kids music to her own contemporary rock station. driving in the direction of the bar she pulled in and found a parking spot easy. she was only a few minutes late, so it wasnt so bad. getting out of the truck she left her phone back behind, bringing only her id and some cash, in case he didnt pay.
locking the car she headed into the doors. looking around she didnt see the gu she was supposed to meet, so why not sit at te bar and get a few drinks. ordering a beer she sipped on it. kaylee was careful around alcohol and anything that came with it. being fresh out of rehab she didnt want to relapse. time passed and a beer and a half later she realized that she got stood up. rolling her eyes she slid some money across the counter and was about to get up before feeling an arm around her and her hair being moved to the side. she instantly felt her hair stand up. this couldnt be good, and it wasnt. feeling his hand fall down to her thigh she felt anxiety course through her body. darien was the reason she fell into drugs in the first place. yes they had a 'thing' in the past but that was really just all about drugs and sex. she had a daughter now. a new life, and she was trying to get things right.
looking at him, taking a swig of her beer she rolled her eyes. "i see not much has changed while i was gone" she eyed him up and down. he was not going to sweet talk her, or intimidate her this time. she knew his ways and she knew she was stronger then that, or was she?
