these girls are out for blood tonight

Most times he found it easier to concentrate in the small, yet active little cafe rather than the campus library. Why? He really didn't know. Maybe it was because he was more comfortable being around strangers because he knew the odds of them coming up to him or him running into them again were slim to none. Yes, he was taking extreme measures to avoid people, but Isaac was never the most social of people. He found that his friends came in the shape of rectangles, were full with pages, and had a lot of words printed on them. Books were more of a comfort to him than people were, but that was most likely due to his inexperience when it came to conversing with others with a beating heart. Ever since grade school he'd been the kid with no friends, always sitting by himself to finish homework or doing something by himself. He was a lone wolf so to speak. A very awkward, shy lone wolf. The brunette scribbled away on some lined paper, flipping through pages of different books to help him finish up this essay he was trying to write for one of his classes. He knew he was going to have to type it out later, but he liked to write things down first because he'd have to read them over again when he typed him. That way he could find out any errors he could have made when writing it down and could easily correct them. Oh yes, this was how he spent most of his days, slaving over essays and projects because he had no friends to distract him from doing otherwise. Isaac ran a hand through his hair then pushed his glasses up before they could slide any lower down the bridge of his nose. A deep breath was pulled in through his nose, hoping that it would help ease the tension in his shoulders some. His head rolled from side to side, desperately trying to loosen up his muscles without much success. Blue eyes glanced around the cafe, noticing a few familiar face, but one stood out above all the rest. Shane was a girl he'd lived next to for most of his life and had known since grade school. He'd had a crush on her since sophomore year of high school, but had never really talked to her before. She was strong and independent, so different than him, so he could understand why she hadn't really paid him any mind. Still, he watched her curiously for a moment, distracted by his fascination for her. |
